Designing data center
fiber infrastructure is a long, iterative process…
at least it used to be.
Easy-To-Use Survey Feature

Use the survey feature to enter your network architecture and design.
This will cover questions about the network, hardware configuration, and topology.
From there, the tool automatically makes decisions based on the selections to produce a detailed design and bill-of-material. You can make manual changes or modifications to your design in just a few clicks.
Automatically Generated
BoM (Bill-of-Material)

Click on “Bill-of-Material” in the top right corner to see the automatically generated BoM. It details full, end-to-end cabling including trunk cables, modules, panels, and fiber jumpers for the complete installation. Hit the “Export to CPQ” button to export the full BoM into the viaPhoton product configurator.
Detailed Rack Elevation

A full rack elevation lets you see where everything is placed within the rack. This includes switching, servers, and all the necessary fiber components to support the infrastructure you created.
It also provides a comprehensive view of what is in every slot of the fiber infrastructure in each cabinet.
You can even add labels to help reduce installation time.

At viaPhoton, We Care About the Customer Journey
viaPhoton takes a people-first approach in everything that we do, including our software and time-saving technologies. That’s why we start with the customer and engineer backwards to create solutions that save you time, like HyperMap™.
With HyperMap
1
Conversation to input key needs and information into HyperMap™
2
HyperMap™ uses technology to make decisions based on customer needs and builds an output including:
Designs
Drawings
Bill of Material
Without HyperMap
1
A meeting with the data center engineer to ask a long list of questions about their network architecture, topologies and infrastructure
2
Create a drawing of network and data center layout as well as the fiber infrastructure necessary to connect all of the devices within their network
3
Take initial drawings back to customer and adjusting for additional cable connections for different parts of the network
4
Weeks of revisions, scheduling and meetings to land on a design
5
Finally land on Designs, drawings and a bill of material
